After more than 3 months of treatment, undergoing many surgeries (chest, digestive, kidney, urinary, spinal trauma) and rehabilitation, with extraordinary determination and the dedicated help of the medical team, Dr. Hoang Minh Ly (29 years old, from Dien Dong, Dien Chau, Nghe An) working at Tan Trieu K Hospital, has recovered his health after a rare but very serious accident at a cafe in Hanoi.
On July 30, before Dr. Ly was discharged from the hospital, Professor, Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, and representatives of the hospital's units came to encourage and congratulate Dr. Ly on overcoming this difficult period. Dr. Ly maintained a much more optimistic spirit, happily chatting with his teachers and colleagues.
At the meeting, the Director of K Hospital presented a gift to Dr. Ly, which was not only material support but also contained the hospital's encouragement and care for its staff.
“The hospital will create the best conditions for Dr. Ly to be able to return to work and contribute his intelligence, giving hope to many patients,” emphasized Professor, Dr. Le Van Quang.
Dr. Ly expressed her emotions and sent her thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Health, K Hospital, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, organizations, many readers and people who have cared and shared with her over the past 3 months. This is a great encouragement and motivation for the female doctor to overcome her illness. However, due to many serious injuries, Dr. Ly's recovery time will be longer.
Previously, on the stormy night of April 20, due to the influence of strong winds, a tempered glass panel at a coffee shop in Hanoi broke and collapsed on Dr. Ly. Dr. Ly suffered multiple injuries, multiple fractures of the vertebrae, spinal cord damage causing complete paralysis of both legs, multiple broken ribs causing closed chest trauma, bilateral hemothorax, grade 4 liver injury, and grade 2 spleen injury.
