NTO - Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the report on the direction of the 220kV-500kV Ninh Son transmission line.

At the meeting, the Central Power Project Management Board (the investor) reported on the route of the 220kV - 500kV Ninh Son - Ninh Phuoc transmission line. The project starts at the 500/200kV Ninh Son transformer station (in Quang Son commune) and ends at the 220kV Ninh Phuoc transformer station with a total length of 47.4km; of which, the 2-circuit section is 43.2km and the 4-circuit section is 4.2km with a line corridor of 22.6m -25m wide. The project has 100 column foundation locations, the area of ​​permanent column foundation land is expected to be about 6 hectares and the area affected by the line corridor is 107.2 hectares. This is the route that has received comments from departments, branches and localities in accordance with the local socio -economic development planning and ensuring environmental conditions within the permitted scope.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to be responsible for advising the Provincial People's Committee to review and synthesize opinions from sectors and localities; together with investors and consultants to review the route in the field to ensure scientific , long-term stability, land savings and compliance with regulations on land use, especially forestry land and forested land; limit impacts on people's lives and overlap in land use planning. Thereby, ensuring the project's objectives, meeting the capacity transmission needs of renewable energy plants in the province and linking capacity exchange with the power grid of neighboring provinces; ensuring stable power supply for socio-economic development in the region; collecting excess capacity from the 220/110kV power grid to the 500kV Ninh Son transformer station to supply the energy storage needs of Phuoc Hoa and Bac Ai pumped storage hydropower plants when put into operation. At the same time, replace the 220kV Ninh Phuoc - Vinh Tan line due to difficulties in route direction.
