(Dan Tri) - Designer Minh Chau said that throughout his career, he has always wanted to introduce the beauty of the ao dai and the landscapes of his homeland to international friends.

In the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest 9 program held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau on November 9, designer Minh Chau brought the collection "Non nuoc Nam bo". What is special is that this collection has the participation of contestants of the Mister World 2024 contest.

The collection impresses by bringing the breath of the Southwest region through familiar details such as checkered scarves, bamboo groves, storks, red-crowned cranes... In addition, the designer also borrowed collaged images to create color transitions, recreating rivers, canals, fertile alluvium...

Designer Minh Chau said that in his creative journey, he always hopes to promote the image of the nation's traditional dress to international friends. When the organizers of Mister World 2024 asked him to do so, he realized this was a good opportunity to do so.

"What could be more wonderful than seeing young men from many countries and territories confidently showing off their masculinity in ao dai? That has been my long-standing desire in my career," he shared.

Designer Minh Chau revealed that during the process of working with the contestants, he was impressed with the Japanese representative because of her gentle appearance, creating sympathy with the other person. Meanwhile, the Lao contestant brought charm and professionalism. The candidates from Africa made designer Minh Chau love them because of their honesty and constant efforts.
