Meritorious Artist Nhu Huynh won the Gold Medal at the 2024 National Cai Luong Festival

After 20 days of competition, the 2024 National Cai Luong Festival has concluded in Can Tho City. The program was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 Gold Medals to the plays Xuan Huong Nu Si (Hanoi Cai Luong Theater); Nguoi Con Cua Rung Tram (Long An Cai Luong Art Troupe); San Ho Do (Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater), Chat Ngoc Cam Thi Giang (Tay Do Theater - Can Tho) and 8 Silver Medals to other impressive plays.

In the individual awards, 41 gold medals and 63 silver medals were awarded to outstanding artists and actors.

At this festival, Meritorious Artist Nhu Huynh received the individual Gold Medal for her role as Princess An Tu in the play Forever Shining the Sun and the Moon (Cao Van Lau Theater - Bac Lieu).

Sharing her feelings when receiving the award, the female artist was happy because all her hard work and efforts had brought sweet results. This was the Gold Medal she had been waiting for the most because she had carefully studied the role and focused a lot of her heart to conquer this prestigious award.

"I have heard some gossip and doubts about my personal abilities, there have been some slanderous and disparaging words, but I kept quiet and considered them as goals and motivation to strive. The results I have achieved today have dispelled those doubts. Because the award was evaluated and recognized by highly specialized art council members. It is also proof that all dedicated work is recognized," said the female artist.

When asked "Who has supported Nhu Huynh throughout her 20 years of pursuing art?", the female artist proudly said that it was her parents and family who raised and created the best conditions for her.

"I have the encouragement, care and help of uncles and aunts in the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Ho Chi Minh City and some other provinces and cities. I have friends, brothers, especially true artists who always care, protect, support and give strength to artists, descendants of the reformed theater profession.

More importantly, I am lucky to have audiences everywhere who love me, so every time I step on stage, I am sublime, putting all my heart into each of my roles, everything blends and connects together to create Meritorious Artist Nhu Huynh today," the female artist said.

Previously, at the end of June 2024, Nhu Huynh won the Gold Medal at the 2024 National Drama Festival .

Nhu Huynh is a familiar face to audiences who love reformed opera music. Possessing a beautiful appearance and a sweet voice, she is affectionately called "Miss Reformed Opera" by many audiences. She is currently an actress at the Cao Van Lau Theater in Bac Lieu province.

Nhu Huynh is highly appreciated on the cai luong stage and has received many major awards. She won a gold medal at the Capital Theater Festival, a gold medal at the National Drama Festival... In 2022, she was honored as a Typical Artist in the Arts Industry and received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Stage Artists Association.

Nhu Huynh is one of the few artists who is quite secretive about her private life. The beauty only diligently participates in artistic activities and entertainment events.
