(NLDO)- People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater, has just been appointed as Director of the Department of Performing Arts.

On the afternoon of October 30, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong presented the decision to appoint People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater, as Director of the Department of Performing Arts.

Artist Xuan Bac was born in 1976 in Phu Tho, graduated from Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, then worked at the Vietnam Drama Theater.

In September 2016, Xuan Bac was appointed Deputy Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater. In January 2021, he was appointed Director of the Vietnam Drama Theater.

Although he is a stage artist, People's Artist Xuan Bac is loved by the public with many roles in the films "Waves at the bottom of the river", "The story of Moc's house", "The reluctant thief"...

People's Artist Xuan Bac (right cover) is loved by many audiences through television programs.

He is also a familiar face to small screen audiences through programs such as "Weekend Meeting", "Year End Meeting", "Question and Answer", "Catch the Picture", "King of Vietnamese Language"...

Artist Xuan Bac was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2016 and People's Artist in 2023.
