On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, many meaningful programs and reports about soldier portraits were introduced to the audience by Vietnam Television (VTV).
In the series of programs, the highlight is the political art program The Historical Path, broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on December 21 on VTV1 channel.

The program is divided into 3 chapters: The Road to Independence, The Road to Unification and The Road to a New Era.
The historical road brings MVs, art performances, animations, reports, and conversations, and through that, depicts the 80-year journey of building, fighting, and growing of the heroic army.
The program featured famous artists such as People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Pham Thu Ha, Duc Tuan and Thu Thuy, along with choirs, military bands, symphonies and thousands of soldiers.

In addition, VTV also produces and broadcasts a series of documentaries on VTV1 about the military, using many different approaches to portray the image of soldiers in the Vietnam People's Army such as: Marching under the flag, Because they are soldiers, Staying in Phong Chau.
VTV8 channel sends to the audience a series of documentaries: Truong Son in mind, Hard-to-heal wounds, Binh Gia victory, Sharing a river and Return day , along with the art program Truong Son Dong calls Truong Son Tay - The sky of bomb craters.
VTV9 channel has many interesting entertainment programs such as X-show, which gives guests the opportunity to experience being a special forces soldier; music program Song by the Hammock; talk show Wonderful Marriage with touching stories about veterans and parents of today's soldiers. Along with that are political programs, special topics and the documentary War Zone D, where the legend began.
In addition, VTV also produces programs on digital platforms, including the project Glory of the Heroic Vietnam People's Army and the drawing contest I Love Uncle Soldier, attracting the participation of many children.
