Noo Phuoc Thinh 'opened' the Vietnamese Tet Music Gala with the song 'If you're too miserable, come back to your foster mother'

This is the opening song of Gala Nhac Viet Tet 2025, a spring music program produced annually by the T Production team.

Noo Phuoc Thinh started participating in Gala Nhac Viet in 2013 and has so far appeared in 11 episodes of the program. He especially left an impression with 6 performances with the theme of Tet, including: Spring song (2013), Glorious spring days (2016), Wishing Tet to everyone, Shining spring happiness (2017), What did you do last year (2020), Let's go home (2024) . Among them, What did you do last year is considered Noo Phuoc Thinh's "big hit", loved by the audience to listen to every time Tet comes.

This year, with the theme of Tet is the origin , Gala Nhac Viet brings a traditional yet modern Tet atmosphere, with the participation of more than 50 famous Vietnamese artists. The song Kho qua thi ve me duoi (If you are too miserable, you will return to your adoptive mother) composed by musician Phat Huy T4 (real name Truong Dan Huy, born in 2004 in Quang Ngai), performed by singer Noo Phuoc Thinh, is the first music video chosen by Gala Nhac Viet to be released on YouTube on the evening of January 7. Other performances of the program will be officially released from 7:00 p.m. on January 22.

The performance " If you are too miserable, you will return to your adoptive mother" was staged simply and rustically, with the main appearance of Noo Phuoc Thinh on stage and the supporting performance of musician Phat Huy T4 and the Buoc Nhay dance troupe.

The song has a fast tempo, with lyrics expressing the feelings of a child who feels lost and tired in the hustle and bustle of work in a lavish city. The child only longs to return to his hometown, where his parents are waiting and the most simple and familiar things. The ending of the song is a message from the mother: no need for the child to bring money back, just need the whole family to reunite and be together.

Noo Phuoc Thinh shared that he has been with Gala Nhac Viet for more than 10 years, performing many different genres of songs, especially songs about spring that have left a deep impression on the audience. "I have performed too many spring songs before, so I don't know what to do or sing to create something new. Finding a song that I especially love is not easy. But then everything was like fate, when at the 90th minute, I found Kho qua thi ve me duoc, and as soon as I heard the demo, I cried. The song touched my emotions a lot," he said.

Through the song, the male singer wants to send a message to everyone: "This Tet, come back to your family, because no matter how tired and stressful life is, home is always the warmest place!".

Noo Phuoc Thinh hopes that everyone will make meaningful decisions during Tet 2025 so that family relationships can be connected together.

"I hope this song, with its deep melody, will touch the hearts of those who are wondering whether to continue to bear the pressure in the city or let go of everything to return to their families...", Noo Phuoc Thinh confided. The male singer also expressed that every spring, he wishes to participate in a grand art program to meet and bring the audience a spring full of joy and hope.

Regarding his plans for the new year 2025, Noo Phuoc Thinh did not promise much but only revealed that there will be many interesting things. What he hopes for now is that the audience will support his first "fireworks" of the year with the song "Ku Qua Thi Ve Me Duong " at Gala Nhac Viet.
