On September 15 (US time), Donald Trump's campaign team said that there was gunfire near the Republican presidential candidate while he was playing golf in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The US Secret Service said the incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. (local time, 1:00 a.m. September 16, Vietnam time).
According to Reuters news agency, it is noteworthy that the incident occurred right at Mr. Trump's golf course. Sources said that the shots were fired from outside the golf course fence.
US officials say they have arrested a suspect who was found with an AK-47 rifle outside the Trump National golf course.
Speaking to reporters, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the shooter was 365-457 meters away from Mr. Trump and fired at least four times. After being discovered, the suspect abandoned the rifle, two black bags and other items, and fled in a black SUV, but was arrested.
International media outlets such as AP and CNN quoted two anonymous sources as saying that US Secret Service agents opened fire after seeing a man carrying a gun near the former President's golf club, and said there were no reports of injuries.
Meanwhile, the New York Times and Fox News said the shooter was named Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, living in Hawaii. However, these news agencies did not release specific information.
Secret Service agents took Mr Trump away from the scene shortly after the incident. The local police department said they would hold a press conference about the shooting.

According to AFP news agency, Mr. Steven Cheung, spokesman for Mr. Trump's campaign team, announced: "Former President Trump is safe after a shooting near him. Currently, there are no further details."
Immediately after the incident, Mr. Trump sent an email to his campaign fundraisers saying: “There was a shot near me, but before the rumors start spreading out of control, I want you to hear this first: I am safe and healthy.”
The White House said US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris had been informed of the incident and were relieved that Mr Trump was safe. On social media X , Ms Harris affirmed that violence has no place in America.
This is the second shooting of Mr. Trump in just two months. In July, he was also shot while campaigning in Pennsylvania. This incident has raised concerns about the security of the US President or US presidential candidate.
