Taking advantage of favorable weather, vegetable growers in Dong Vai, Ky Hoa commune, Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh) are busy going to the fields to sow new crops and continue to take care of vegetables to serve the upcoming Lunar New Year market.
Dong Vai area, Ky Hoa commune currently has nearly 8 hectares of winter vegetable growing, mainly concentrated in Hoa Trung and Hoa Dong villages.
Ms. Dao Thi Huong's family (Hoa Trung village) grows 4 sao of various vegetables, mainly cabbage. Ms. Huong said: " The weather from October 2023 to now has been basically favorable, so vegetables have grown and developed quite well. In the 2023 Tet crop, the vegetables that people produce will not be in surplus, the prices are also quite good, we hope that the upcoming Tet crop will still have a good harvest and good prices"...
This year, for Tet, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Loan's family (Hoa Trung village) planted 10 sao of various leafy vegetables. "Up to this point, my family's vegetable area has generally developed quite well, promising to be harvested in time for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin... " - Mrs. Loan said.
"Determining that Tet is the production season that brings high income, we have tried to sow and grow all the land. Usually, the closer to Tet, the higher the selling price of vegetables, tubers and fruits, so we focus on providing adequate nutrition for the plants, hoping to have a good Tet vegetable crop," said Mr. Nguyen Huy Binh (Hoa Trung village).
