Sharing his wishes for the future, Mr. Tu said that there should be more support policies for farmers and cooperatives, especially access to large capital sources with the best preferential interest rates; quick and timely disbursement mechanisms.

“For example, receiving an export order, but having to wait 1-2 years to have funding, or to get preferential loans, farmers cannot keep up. There must be a timely mechanism to meet the wishes of the people and the cooperative because opportunities come very quickly and go very quickly,” Mr. Tu expressed.

In addition, he also hopes to have a mechanism to allow cooperatives to build infrastructure such as greenhouses and net houses on agricultural land.

According to Mr. Tu, in case of wanting to develop experiential tourism associated with agricultural production, allowing cooperatives to build auxiliary works is very important.

“I also hope to open a rest stop where OCOP products, typical agricultural products of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, can be displayed. Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is attracting a lot of tourists, if this can be done, it will be an opportunity to promote agricultural products to more visitors,” said Mr. Tu.

In 2015, Mr. Tu graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics and chose to return to his hometown to continue his family's farming career.

Mr. Tu discovered that the soil where he lived was suitable for growing vegetables, tubers, and fruits, so he decided to "leave the city and return to the countryside" to grow vegetables.
