Talking to us, Mr. Doan Huu Quynh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Ba District Labor Federation informed: Ms. Canh is one of many cases of workers in difficult circumstances who have received timely support and encouragement from the Trade Unions at all levels. In addition, to ensure the care and protection of workers, the District Labor Federation also actively implements programs and cooperation agreements between the Provincial Labor Federation and partner units on welfare for union members and workers; promotes propaganda, dissemination and legal education so that workers have more knowledge to protect their own legitimate and legal rights.
To help workers raise their awareness of the law, correctly understand their legitimate and legal rights and interests in order to build stable and harmonious labor relations at the unit and enterprise, many forms, contents, and methods of propaganda, dissemination, and legal education have been strongly deployed by Trade Unions at all levels.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has implemented the collection of opinions from union members and employees to contribute to draft policies and laws such as: Draft Law on Trade Unions (amended); Draft Law on Employment (amended); Draft Regulations on emulation and reward work in Phu Tho province... Strengthening propaganda work through documents, billboards, leaflets, pocket propaganda handbooks... to conferences, dialogues, legal knowledge competitions, and at the same time propagating the law through mass media, social networks, legal bookcases... Proactively grasping the ideology, life, work, types of salary and bonus; proactively coordinating with functional agencies at the same level to inspect and supervise the implementation of regimes and policies related to employees at units and enterprises.
In 2024, 1,252 public administrative and career agencies and units participated with employers in promulgating and implementing the Grassroots Democracy Charter, 433 non-state enterprises (with Trade Union organizations) participated with employers in promulgating and implementing the Grassroots Democracy Charter; 142 collective labor agreements were amended, supplemented, re-signed, and newly signed with content more favorable to employees than those prescribed by law.
In addition, the work of labor safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting, and improvement of working conditions and environment for workers are of interest to the Trade Union at all levels and continue to be maintained; the work of legal consultancy, receiving, resolving and participating in resolving petitions, recommendations and denunciations of union members and workers is of interest and direction.
Thanks to the good implementation of the work of caring for the lives, jobs, and protecting the rights of workers, up to now, more than 172,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province have basically had jobs, there has been no shortage or loss of jobs, ensuring an average salary of about 7.6 million VND/person/month... The working conditions of cadres, workers, civil servants, and laborers are increasingly concerned, the working environment is improved; occupational safety and hygiene work is being carried out better and better.
