According to VGC , Nintendo Japan recently announced that it will soon end all repair services for the Wii U console and its peripherals, including the Wii U Gamepad.
The Wii U console is now over 10 years old and Nintendo's warranty has expired, with the company saying it will only repair the device until it runs out of spare parts.
Nintendo Japan has discontinued repair services for the Wii U.
Nintendo began ending support for the Wii U earlier this year, shutting down the Wii U and 3DS eShops, leaving fans without the ability to buy digital games on either system. Additionally, the ability to redeem prepaid eShop cards has also ended in August 2022.
According to VGC's analysis, there are about 1,000 digital eShop games that are now gone forever as 3DS and Wii U eShop deals end.
The closure of the Wii U and 3DS eShops also means the end of the Virtual Console service. Now, the only classic games Nintendo has to offer are those available on the various apps on the Switch Online service.
