Reduce travel time
The opening of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway has attracted the attention of people across the country, especially in the Central and Southern provinces because the expressway project has a direct impact on many people. That is the benefit for traffic circulation, reducing travel time between the Central provinces to Binh Thuan and the Southern provinces. On the same day, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway was also put into operation, making the connection between the two famous tourist cities of Nha Trang and Phan Thiet easier because it shortens the time for domestic and foreign tourists who want to visit these two places on their tour. The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway has a length of 100.8 km, starting from Vinh Hao commune (Tuy Phong) and ending in Ham Kiem commune (Ham Thuan Nam). The route has a cross-section of 4 lanes for two-way traffic, on the route there are emergency stopping locations (strips) with a distance of 4-5 km/point on the same direction of traffic. The size of each location is 270m long (including 170m of parking area, 50m of access on each side), 2.5m wide surface, 0.75m wide curb.
The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway is 99 km long, with a 32 m wide road surface and 6 lanes, passing through Ham Thuan Nam and Ham Tan districts (Binh Thuan) and Xuan Loc, Cam My, Thong Nhat districts, Long Khanh city (Dong Nai). Up to now, vehicles have been operating on the route from Vinh Hao intersection connecting with the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway to Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, the provinces of the Southwest and vice versa. Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, a truck driver transporting goods from Nha Trang city to Ho Chi Minh City, said: The expressways put into operation have helped us drivers shorten more than half of the travel time between cities. In addition, reducing driving time and reducing labor will help drivers stay more alert, thus contributing to ensuring higher traffic safety... Mr. Tran Van Phuoc in Ham Kiem commune, who lives near the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, told reporters: People in the area are very happy. The expressway has many benefits, first of all, it is faster for children to go to school in Ho Chi Minh City. I have a daughter who is in her first year of university of economics but gets carsick, so every time she goes to Ho Chi Minh City, it takes 4-5 hours to sit in the car or from the city to home, she is exhausted and I feel sorry for her. As for serious cases that need to be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment, the expressway will shorten the time, so the chance of survival is also higher... Mr. Tran Ngoc Diep - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam district, said: The expressway passing through Binh Thuan will create more opportunities for Ham Thuan Nam to accelerate economic development. Because the highway connects with the two industrial parks Ham Kiem 1 and Ham Kiem 2, investors will reduce the cost of transporting goods. In addition, the highway also connects with National Highway 1 and two tourist routes DT 719 and DT7 719B, so tourists will find it easier to find famous tourist destinations in Ham Thuan Nam...
