(Dan Tri) - The historic victory of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 was the greatest victory of the Vietnamese army and people in the resistance war against the French colonialists. This victory is recorded in the history of the Vietnamese nation as the most brilliant milestone in the 20th century.
The Dien Bien Phu victory left behind impressive and profound images, from the images of the "Commanders" of the war to each citizen and soldier who were united and devoted themselves to the independence of the nation. It is always a shining symbol of patriotic tradition and the eternal pride of many generations of Vietnamese people.
Below are some images of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign currently preserved at the National Archives Center III. These images are being displayed in the exhibition “Dien Bien Phu - A golden history” at the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, Dien Bien province, which is an activity to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, providing more authentic and complete historical sources to domestic and foreign audiences, while also contributing practically to educating the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and the struggle to protect the independence of the Vietnamese people.
The exhibition is open to visitors until May 10, 2019.
