As the Northwest gateway of the capital Hanoi, located on the economic corridor of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Kunming, Phu Tho is becoming one of the bright spots in attracting investment and economic development in the Northern midland and mountainous provinces. 
To achieve the economic growth target of over 10.5%/year in the 2021-2030 period, it is expected to mobilize about 800 trillion VND in development investment capital, of which the investment capital of the State economic sector is about 140 trillion VND, accounting for about 17.5%; (ii) Investment capital of the non-State economic sector needs to be mobilized at a high level, expected to be about 500 trillion VND, accounting for about 62.5%; (iii) Attract FDI capital of about 160 trillion VND, equivalent to 6.5 billion USD, accounting for about 20%. Regarding state budget capital: Mobilize all development investment capital sources from the central budget and local budgets; effectively use support capital from the central budget, ODA support capital and other support capital sources to invest in key projects on technical and social infrastructure; Focus on prioritizing capital from the state budget for key and inter-regional infrastructure projects. For non-state budget capital, synchronously implement solutions: Continue to improve the investment environment, enhance the province's competitiveness, increase the attraction of domestic and foreign private investment; promote FDI attraction with a focus on industrial development and attract domestic economic groups focusing on the fields of tourism development, urban areas, trade services, high-tech agriculture, promote socialization of health care, education and training, culture, sports, science and technology, mobilize investment capital for PPP projects, industrial park infrastructure projects, logistics infrastructure and key tourism and service areas.
