Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker informed: On May 8, 2024, at the 10th plenary session of the Memory of the World Committee for the Asia-Pacific region in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Vietnam's "Nine Bronze Urns in Hue Imperial City" was officially listed as a UNESCO Asia-Pacific documentary heritage. This prestigious recognition has brought the total number of Vietnam's documentary heritages to 10, including 3 world documentary heritages and 7 Asia-Pacific documentary heritages.

Comrade Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, said: The Nine Dynastic Urns were cast in 1835 and completed in 1837 under the reign of King Minh Mang. This is considered a vivid encyclopedia of images about Vietnam at that time and was recognized as a national treasure by the Prime Minister in 2012.

UNESCO's recognition of "The reliefs on the nine bronze cauldrons in the Hue Imperial Palace" as a World Documentary Heritage once again affirms the stature and historical value of the Nine Cauldrons in the world's cultural heritage, and at the same time gives Thua Thien Hue the position of being the only locality with 8 heritages recognized by UNESCO.

On this occasion, Thua Thien Hue province officially announced the completion of the project "Conservation and overall restoration of Thai Hoa Palace relic" and put it into service for visitors, and broke ground on the project "Restoration and restoration of Can Chanh Palace relic".
