On the occasion of International Women's Day, on the afternoon of March 17, at the National Assembly House, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, wife of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, had a meeting with the ASEAN Women's Group in Hanoi (AWCH).
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere with the participation of Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, Honorary President of AWCH Group, female Ambassadors, Ambassadors' spouses and representatives of ASEAN Embassies.
Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and members of the AWCH Group visited the National Assembly's Traditional Room, which stores a full range of images and documents about the development of the Vietnamese National Assembly through the ages.
The group was also introduced to the archaeological exhibition area under the National Assembly building with strong vestiges of the culture and architecture of ancient Thang Long.

Introducing the activities of the Group to the National Assembly Chairwoman's wife, Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc and members of the AWCH Group shared that the Group was established in 2015, at the right time of the formation of the ASEAN Community with the overarching goal of connecting women of ASEAN countries and partners, bringing ASEAN closer to the people and the international community.
From its initial starting point of consisting of ASEAN members, the Group gradually expanded and formed a network with the participation of 19 ASEAN partner countries.
Over time, the Group's activities have grown, diversified and enriched in both form and content, such as ASEAN Family Day, ASEAN Food Festival, and many charity programs to support those in difficult circumstances, especially women and children.
The Group has always received support and assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Wives of Senior Leaders and most recently, the Group was honored to receive an invitation from Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly, the General Secretary's wife, to be the "Guest of Honor of the Group" for the Group's activities and practical contributions to the ASEAN Community.
As shared by Ms. Sujatha Ramachandra, Spouse of the Singaporean Ambassador, the AWCH Group has made many contributions to spreading ASEAN's diverse and vibrant cultural identity to international friends, contributing to realizing ASEAN's common vision of solidarity, progress, peace and prosperity.
The year 2025 marks a decade of the ASEAN Community and also a decade of the AWCH Group's activities.
The Group's practical activities over the past 10 years are valuable contributions to building a people-centered ASEAN Community.
Looking forward, AWCH members will continue to work together to contribute to realizing ASEAN's aspirations, for the sustainable development of the ASEAN Community.

In a space imbued with Vietnamese culture, the Tea Artist introduced to the President's wife and the AWCH Group the quintessence of Vietnamese tea, encapsulating memories, emotions and connections between people and between people and nature.
A cup of tea with a sweet and refreshing aroma is an expression of the art of living, bringing a sense of tranquility, and searching for lasting values over time.
At the end of the meeting, Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga presented the AWCH Group members with a traditional Vietnamese gift, expressing her feelings and wishes that the Group's activities will continue to develop, honoring the contributions of ASEAN women, not only as a solid support but also proactively creating development opportunities for the community and for the community, strengthening the values of love, solidarity and sharing of the ASEAN Community./.
