Westlife have announced Vietnam as a destination for their Wild Dreams tour. The show will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City on November 22. Tickets will go on sale on September 26.
The legendary band expressed their excitement at meeting Vietnamese audiences again after more than 10 years: "Vietnam. We are very excited to return with the Wild Dreams tour on November 22, 2023."
This information excited the online community in general and Westlife's fan club in Vietnam in particular. The post received more than 10,000 interactions from Vietnamese audiences, along with 3,100 comments and more than 2,400 shares.
This is the second time Westlife has come to Vietnam to hold a concert. In 2011, Westlife sang with thousands of audiences during the Gravity tour at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi. In 2014, singer Shane Filan - the band's lead singer - came to Ho Chi Minh City to perform in the You & me tour live in Saigon program. In 2017, Shane Filan returned to Vietnam to perform in the Love Always concert in Ho Chi Minh City.
Westlife was formed in 1998 with members: Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne. In addition, former member Brian McFadden left the group. With a typical Pop ballad style, Westlife quickly became one of the top boybands in Europe after many love songs such as Flying Without Wings, Seasons in The Sun, My Love or I Lay My Love On You . In 2012, the group disbanded and then reunited in 2018 and continued their musical activities.
