Processing and manufacturing industry in Hai Duong leads industrial growth

Animal feed production and processing industry is one of the high growth industries of Hai Duong.

Meanwhile, the electricity production and distribution sector decreased by 4.6% due to the early arrival of the rainy season, which prioritized electricity generation from hydropower plants. However, the province's industrial production in July was still considered better than in the second quarter.

In the first 7 months of 2024, Hai Duong's industrial production index increased by 14.1% over the same period in 2023. Some industries with large proportions and high growth indexes are electronic product manufacturing (up 11.4%), motor vehicle manufacturing (up 13.4%), garment (up 13.3%), food processing (up 11.9%).

In addition to high growth industries, some manufacturing industries are facing difficulties due to slow market recovery. These include cement and brick production (down 6.3%), repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment (down 2.2%).
