Uncle Ho has passed away for more than half a century, but his ideology, morality and style still shine forever and accompany the nation.
For Nam Dinh province, his affection and concern were expressed through his instructions during his visits. On the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, VietNamNet published a series of articles about President Ho Chi Minh. Cadres and party members unite; Catholics and non-Catholics unite . The first time Uncle Ho visited Nam Dinh was on the afternoon of January 10, 1946. He met and talked intimately with representatives of the nobility and businessmen about relief for compatriots facing difficulties, especially due to famine; visited women, dignitaries and Catholics and Buddhists. The next morning, in front of the Nam Dinh City Administrative Committee, he met and talked with people from all walks of life, religions, ministries and sectors. He also visited children in Nam Dinh City and warmly shared candy with them. Uncle Ho talked with representatives of all walks of life in front of the provincial People's Committee headquarters, January 11, 1946. Before leaving the city, Uncle Ho took the time to visit and give gifts to the children being raised at the Nam Dinh Orphanage. He visited the rooms, from the one for newborns to the room for 9-10 year olds. On April 24, 1957, Uncle Ho visited and talked with the staff and workers of the Nam Dinh Textile Factory. He visited the silk, yarn, weaving, dyeing, blanket workshops... of the factory, even the warehouse and the most stuffy machine rooms. After that, Uncle Ho walked a long distance in the hot sun to visit the infirmary, nursery and the dormitory area for the staff and workers of the factory. He praised that before Nam Dinh City was liberated, the staff had tried to fight to keep the machines, not allowing the enemy to destroy and take them away; he praised the staff for trying to ensure the production level. He also praised the skilled old staff and workers who tried to produce and actively helped the new workers; Pay attention to the progress of female cadres, political work, culture, hygiene and construction, and vote for outstanding workers. President Ho Chi Minh visited the workers' dormitory of Nam Dinh Textile Factory, April 24, 1957. At the same time, Uncle Ho also noted that it is necessary to promote the spirit of mastery, pay more attention to the work of female cadres, the issue of preventing corruption, waste, and bureaucracy; implement solidarity among cadres and workers, between technical cadres and administrative cadres; practice democracy; promote the exemplary role of cadres, party members, trade unions, and youth union members... Promoting the sense of responsibility of workers, he said: “We are the masters, so we must act in a way that is worthy of being the masters. We must follow the example of workers in other countries who love the machine as they love their children, love the factory as their home. That is worthy mastery. What is beneficial to the factory is beneficial to us, what is harmful to the factory is harmful to our home. That is the attitude of a master, a master of the country, a master of the factory”. In particular, with the spirit of independence, autonomy, and creativity, Uncle Ho expressed his views on contract work - a very new view at that time. This view has been proven in the practice of the renovation process in our country later. President Ho Chi Minh viewed some products produced by Nam Dinh Textile Factory, April 24, 1957. On the same day, at the Nam Dinh City Club, Uncle Ho spoke to more than 500 delegates from all walks of life in the province. After praising the achievements of the province, he advised cadres and people to raise their fighting spirit, raise their confidence, and maintain discipline in the face of the enemy's sabotage plots. He paid special attention to reminding people of the lesson of solidarity: "Solidarity from top to bottom, from inside to outside; old and new cadres unite; old and new party members unite; teachers and lay people unite. You must try to make Nam Dinh have model communes, model districts, and move forward to become a model province"... He also came to speak at the Nam Dinh Province Conference of Corrective Cadres. After affirming the significance of the victory of land reform, he pointed out that the mistakes committed were temporary, and the Party and Government were determined to correct them... Cadres must volunteer to be exemplary in all matters. On August 13, 1958, Uncle Ho visited Nam Dinh for the third time, attending the provincial agricultural production congress held in Yen Tien commune (Y Yen district) - where the winter-spring crop harvest was nearly 59 tons higher than the same period last year, where there was a movement to compete to improve crop-growing techniques. President Ho Chi Minh visited Thuong Dong communal house, Yen Tien commune, Y Yen district, August 13, 1958. Speaking to nearly 1,000 cadres and people's representatives from the province to the commune, he praised their efforts and pointed out shortcomings that needed to be overcome, especially the need to pay attention to technical aspects in agricultural production. He advised that the lessons of the last winter-spring crop must be remembered, absolutely not be subjective, and must change working methods so that leadership can be close, timely, and thoughtful. He awarded badges to two farmers from Nam Hong and Nghia Thang communes for their achievements in production and for mobilizing many people to join the labor exchange group. Before leaving, he visited some families in Yen The commune and toured the fields of Dong Hung commune, where in previous years only the winter-spring crop could be grown, but thanks to good irrigation, the summer-autumn crop could now be grown. Uncle Ho visited Dong Hung rice field, Yen Tien commune, district of Y Yen, August 13, 1958. On March 15, 1959, the Party Committee and people of Nam Dinh welcomed Uncle Ho to visit for the fourth time. He visited the Nam Dinh Textile Factory. At Hoa Binh Square, he talked to the cadres and people in the province. He praised Nam Dinh for its efforts to fight drought and criticized the large area affected by drought, which affected the harvest. He requested that forces be concentrated, finding every way to fight drought, and while fighting and preventing drought, there must be a plan to prevent flooding. He encouraged the leaders of the province, district, and commune to "recently have determination, but must persistently turn that determination into the determination of all cadres and the masses", and at the same time reminded that "to fulfill that task, we must fight against conservative thinking, the fear of difficulties, the tiredness, the dependence, that is, we must be determined, determined and more determined, determined to continue until victory". President Ho Chi Minh inspected and reviewed drought prevention work in Nam Dinh province, March 15, 1959. Meeting with the Party Committee of Nam Dinh Textile Factory, he instructed that attention should be paid to the following: First, it is necessary to mobilize the masses to improve the management of the enterprise in a neat and good manner. Second, it is not allowed to miss the production target, it is necessary to ensure the plan in both output and quality, it is necessary to do a lot, quickly, well, and cheaply. Third, the leaders, party members, youth union members as well as union officials must volunteer to be exemplary. Fourth, the workers are now the owners, not having to work for hire like before, they must be skillful in organizing workers to participate in factory management. Fifth, it is necessary to focus on the development of party members and youth union members. Uncle Ho visited Nam Dinh for the fifth time on August 23, 1959 when he went to inspect the flood prevention situation of the province. This event is rarely mentioned, perhaps because Uncle went to inspect and returned immediately, without working directly with the provincial leaders. The 6th time Uncle Ho visited Nam Dinh was on May 21, 1963 when he attended the 5th Congress of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee at the Textile Factory Hall. He praised the results of the Provincial Party Committee in leading the people to develop the agricultural economy, industry, transportation, education, disease prevention, and security. President Ho Chi Minh spoke at the 5th Congress of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee, May 21, 1963. He pointed out: “The people of Nam Dinh are very simple, hard-working, and have a tradition of heroism during the revolutionary and resistance periods. The cadres in general are dedicated. Therefore, our province has achieved achievements in all aspects of work”. Besides, he also frankly criticized a number of shortcomings in the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and reminded: “All levels, from the Party cell to the Provincial Party Committee, must sincerely and frankly criticize themselves for the common interests of the Party and the people. Each Party member and each Party cell must always ask themselves: Are we worthy of the Party's leadership role or not?”. After that, he visited the Nam Dinh Textile Factory, the collective housing area of cadres and workers. He kindly asked about the living, studying and living conditions of the workers, reminded them to promote production competition with the Pyongyang Textile Factory (North Korea) and to improve their lives. Uncle Ho talked to the people of Nam Dinh during a rally at Hoa Binh Square, May 22, 1963. Visiting the provincial hospital and exhibition hall, he advised the cadres and staff to follow the saying "A good doctor is also a good mother", and to uphold the sense of responsibility to serve the sick well. He wrote on the first page of the province's golden book: "Continue the glorious revolutionary tradition, build victorious socialism". Emphasizing the lesson of building a clean and strong Party, he stated: "Cadres from the Central to the communal level must be loyal servants of the people. Cadres, party members, and union members must volunteer to be exemplary in all work, wholeheartedly serving the people. The people must always help and criticize cadres so that they can fulfill their duties". In addition to visiting and working with the Party Committee and people of Nam Dinh province, Uncle Ho also sent many letters, telegrams, and wrote articles praising and encouraging positive spirit.
