Member schools of Ho Chi Minh City National University (VNU) have many majors with standard scores increasing sharply by 2-5 points compared to 2023 and some majors have standard scores decreasing slightly.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) has a benchmark score ranging from 22 to 28.88 points. Compared to 2023, the benchmark score in 2024 increased slightly in many majors. In particular, majors that recruit the C00 combination (Literature - History - Geography) have an average benchmark score that increases by 2-3 points compared to the benchmark score in 2023.
In particular, the Religious Studies major increased by 5 points (the benchmark score for group C00 in 2023 is 21 points, in 2024 it is 26 points). In 2024, the high benchmark score is completely dominated by the C00 admission combination, specifically Journalism is the major with the highest benchmark score with 28.88 points, followed by Tourism and Travel Services Management with 28.33 points, Cultural Studies with 28.2 points, Art Studies with 28.15 points and History with 28.1 points.
In particular, the 3 new majors enrolling in 2024 also have relatively high admission scores, specifically the major of Art Studies is 26.75 - 28.15 points (depending on the combination), the major of International Studies is 25.75 - 27 points, the major of Korean Business and Commerce is 24 - 26.96 points. Meanwhile, the admission score for the 2 + 2 international joint program ranges from 21 - 25.5 points.
Meanwhile, at International University , 24 is the highest standard score. Of the 23 training majors awarded by International University, 4 majors have the highest standard scores, including: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management with a standard score of 24 points.
In addition, the school's English Language major has a benchmark score of 34.5 points and this is also a major with a benchmark score calculated on a 40-point scale (English subject score is multiplied by a coefficient of 2).
Most of the majors this year keep the same benchmark scores as in 2023, some majors have slightly reduced benchmark scores compared to last year. The school's highest benchmark score in 2023 is 25.25 points (Logistics and Supply Chain Management).
With 22 majors in joint training with foreign partners, the benchmark score in 2024 also ranges from 18 to 21 points, with English Language joint programs calculated on a 40-point scale and a benchmark score of 30. The specific benchmark scores for each major are as follows:

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the benchmark score ranges from 21.45 points to 27.8 points. Compared to 2023, this year's benchmark score of the school has increased slightly. Specifically, the benchmark score for Medicine is 27.80 points (an increase of 0.46 points), the benchmark score for Dentistry is 27.35 points (26.96 points in 2023), and the benchmark score for Pharmacy is 25.72 points (25.5 points in 2023).

In the admission method combining the results of the 2024 high school exam and international English certificates, the Medical major also has a admission score of 26.18 points (in 2023 it was 25.25 points).
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, the benchmark for the main campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Veterinary Medicine (advanced program) has the highest benchmark score of 25 points. The lowest benchmark score at the main campus of the school is 16 points with many majors.
At Ninh Thuan branch, the Preschool Education (college) major is 20.25 points and Preschool Education (university) major is 21.25 points; Veterinary Medicine major is 16 points. All other majors are 15 points. At Gia Lai branch, the highest standard score for Veterinary Medicine major is 16 points. All other majors are 15 points.
