Outstanding scientists from around the world will come to lecture to students and young researchers at the Mathematical Physics Summer School, held in Quy Nhon.
Dr. Tran Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), said on the afternoon of May 22 that the Mathematical Physics Summer School will be held at ICISE and Quy Nhon University from August 1 to 5, with sponsorship from the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics and the International Society for Mathematical Physics.
At the summer school, students and young researchers will listen to lectures by Dr. John RL Anderson from Stanford University, USA; Professor Dang Nguyen Viet from Paris Sorbonne University, France; Professor Mathieu Lewin from Paris Dauphine University, France, and Professor Nguyen Le Luc from Oxford University, UK.
In addition, Professor Sergiu Klainerman from Princeton University, USA, will give a public lecture to students at Quy Nhon University. Professor Klainerman is famous for his extensive contributions to research on hyperbolic differential equations and general relativity.
Dr. Son said that the professors and scientists who came to Vietnam at the invitation of the scientific council included Professor Nguyen Trong Toan, Pennsylvania State University, USA, and Professor Phan Thanh Nam, Munich University, Germany.

"For many years, the summer school at ICISE has always attracted excellent and famous professors and scientists from around the world to exchange and give lectures," said Professor Tran Thanh Son.
In the first year of the Physics and Mathematics Summer School, the organizers hope that this will be the beginning of a long-term program to develop Physics and Mathematics in Vietnam and Asian countries, through connecting young people who are passionate about these two subjects.
In the field of Physics, some issues of classical mechanics and quantum mechanics will be discussed. The topics discussed in Mathematics are related to spectral theory, functional analysis, partial differential equations, geometry and probability.
The summer school will have many scholarships to support travel and accommodation for candidates participating in the program.
