Many expectations in trade cooperation between Vietnam and Finland

In recent years, trade cooperation between Vietnam and Finland has seen impressive growth, in the context of the EVFTA coming into effect.

Vietnam and Finland established diplomatic relations on January 25, 1973. Over the past half century, trade and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Finland have developed well.

Vietnam is Finland's most important trading partner in Southeast Asia. Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Finland in 2023 reached over 375 million USD; in the first 2 months of 2024, it reached over 62 million USD. The two sides still have a lot of potential for cooperation in areas such as: Energy, forestry, information technology, etc.

At the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Finland Jussi Halla-aho paid an official visit to Vietnam from March 24-26.
