In the last days of September, there were many meaningful activities such as: giving 400 gifts to students of Tam Quang Secondary School along with many items, equipment and the "Border Dormitory" model in Tam Quang border commune (Tuong Duong district); giving 7 breeding cows to poor households in Cao Veu border area (Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district), with a total amount of nearly 400 million VND.
In Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong district), Tam Quang Border Guard Station in coordination with sponsors presented: 400 sets of textbooks; 2,000 notebooks; 400 sets of school supplies; 30 bicycles; 01 rice cooker; 01 water purifier; 01 70-inch TV; 100 sets of blankets, curtains, pillows, mats; 100 sets of dining utensils to students of Tam Quang Secondary School and "Border Dormitory". The above gifts have a total value of nearly 300 million VND.

The activity aims to encourage poor students in the border area of Tam Quang commune to strive to excel in their studies. On this occasion, benefactors also donated 300 million VND to the People's Committee of Yen Na commune to build a bridge for people in Xop Pu village, Yen Na commune.

Previously, also in Tam Quang commune, Tam Quang Border Guard Station held the Launching Ceremony of the “Border Dormitory” Model. The completed dormitory ensures that about 40 middle school students, who are children of ethnic minorities living far from the commune center, can live, study and work here.

In addition, sponsors and benefactors have donated funds and living materials to students in the dormitory such as: bunk beds, cabinets, desks, water heaters, water purifiers, gas stoves, wall fans, books, school supplies... with a total cost of supporting the construction of dormitories and gifts for students of nearly 350 million VND. In addition, they also donated minor surgery kits, blood pressure monitors, electronic thermometers, glucose testers and many types of medicine to the "Unit's Border Medicine Cabinet" model.
In Phuc Son Commune (Anh Son District), Phuc Son Border Guard Station organized a ceremony to present 7 breeding cows to poor households in the Cao Veu border area. Specifically, in Veu 2 village, 1 household; in Veu 3 village, 5 households and in Veu 4 village, 1 household received the gifts. The total value of the program is 100 million VND. The above amount is supported by the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Secretary of the district Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Anh Son district Nguyen Huu Sang said that this is a program of practical significance, creating livelihoods for people in border areas. The program aims to support households in difficult circumstances and poor households to have more conditions to develop their family economy, helping people to escape poverty sustainably, achieving the goal of reducing the rate of poor households in the district and ensuring social security in the locality. Thereby contributing to stabilizing national defense and security, maintaining the "people's hearts" in the border areas.
