Many special activities at Thai Binh Province Tourism Week 2024

These are practical events to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day, the 70th anniversary of the town's liberation, and the 20th anniversary of the construction and development of Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province.

Previously, on the evening of June 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Binh coordinated with the People's Committee of Thai Binh city and the Thai Binh Provincial Tourism Association to organize the opening ceremony of this event.

Taking place over 7 days, from June 25 to July 2 with many unique cultural, sports and tourism events, Thai Binh Province Tourism Week and Thai Binh City Exhibition, Promotion, Investment and Trade Fair 2024 promise to bring local people and tourists attractive and impressive experiences.

Highlights include the decorative hot air balloon performance, water puppetry, unique art programs imbued with the traditional cultural identity of Thai Binh province; free tours to visit, experience, and educate students about traditions...

“The Thai Binh City Trade and Investment Promotion Fair has 200 booths displaying products from nearly 100 enterprises inside and outside the province, mainly agricultural, forestry, aquatic and seafood products, processed foods, electricity, household electronics, textiles, wooden furniture, household goods, OCOP products…”, said a representative of the Thai Binh City People’s Committee.

According to the People's Committee of Thai Binh city, in order to affirm the results and achievements in the past time and contribute to promoting and introducing the potential, image and strengths of the city, creating a joyful atmosphere, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province will organize the 70th anniversary of the town's liberation (June 30, 1954 - June 30, 2024), 20 years of construction and development of Thai Binh city (June 30, 2004 - June 30, 2024) .

Accordingly, the Anniversary Ceremony will be solemnly held from 7:30 p.m. on June 30, 2024 at Thai Binh Square (Hoang Dieu Ward, Thai Binh City), including 3 parts: Anniversary Ceremony, receiving the Second Class Independence Medal and the art program "Aspirations of the 20s".

“We are very excited to watch the drone show and performances by many famous singers and DJs as well as the fireworks display to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the town’s liberation and the 20th anniversary of the city’s construction and development on the evening of June 30. In the past few days, I have seen that all the streets have been decorated to celebrate this important event,” said Vu Van Dai (33 years old, resident of Ky Ba ward, Thai Binh city).

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Binh, in 2023, the total number of tourists in the province is estimated to reach 850,000 (an increase of 15.5% compared to 2022), mainly domestic tourists; international tourists reach 2,150; revenue reaches 550 billion VND.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the total number of tourists to Thai Binh province is estimated at 320,000 (up 20% over the same period), international visitors are estimated at 2,000, revenue is estimated at 370 billion VND (up 18% over the same period in 2023).
