Expanding the scale of Children's Festival
This is the second time the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Festival has been organized by the City Youth Union and the Young Pioneers' Council at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House. The activity also kicked off at the beginning of summer, creating a fun, healthy and meaningful playground for children in the city named after Uncle Ho.
Held periodically on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, the festival also responds to the annual Month of Action for Children.
In which, the series of cultural exchange activities, entertainment and recreation combined with material and spiritual care for children, the festival is expected to become a new meeting place for children and parents in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran - Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council - said that the festival is not beyond the desire to give the best things to children, creating an environment for them to live and play.
"Following the success of the 2023 Children's Festival, this festival is on a larger scale, attracting many organizations and individuals to join the organization. We hope it will be an attractive, interesting and meaningful festival for children and parents this summer," said Ms. Tran.

Colorful festival picture
Many activities took place consecutively within the framework of the festival. These include the Colora children's play, a performance of the traditional ao dai collection by designer Si Hoang, a playground for drum and trumpet bands, a Rubik's cube playground, and a yoyo arena.
There are also lion dance festivals and dragon dance performances, Nightingale singing, human chess exchanges and performances, workshops on psychology and life skills for children and many other playgrounds.
Having brought her children to the festival last year, Ms. Hanh (District 3) said the children were very excited, this year she found it more grand.
"He seemed to like the drum and trumpet exchange playground so he sat there obediently watching the older brothers and sisters perform, not leaving," Ms. Hanh shared.
Mr. Thong (District 1) said he was quite surprised because he planned to take his child to see a play and then go home, but after a while, he saw that there were "too many" booths and art playgrounds, so his child kept going from one booth to another.
He hopes that these useful activities will be maintained so that children can have safe and healthy fun during the summer.
Ho Chi Minh City Children's Festival 2024 takes place from May 31 to June 2 at Ho Chi Minh City Children's House (District 3) with many interactive activities, including experiences in cyberspace.
There are 47 booths and 12 areas operating throughout the 3-day festival with more than 30 different events, playgrounds, competitions, and festivals taking place at the same time.
