Many changes in implementing the Grassroots Democracy Charter in 2024

Last year, implementing democracy at the grassroots level in the context of the second year of implementing the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level, the first year of implementing Resolution No. 49/NQ-HDND, dated December 8, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on measures to ensure the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in the province; together with the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the unanimous support of all classes of people, the business community, the socio-economic situation in 2024 in the province has many positive changes.

Party committees at all levels pay attention to leadership and direction; authorities at all levels manage and operate in a specific direction, close to the people, openly, transparently, respecting and accepting people's opinions and contributions, creating a democratic and consensual atmosphere in society.

Governments at all levels promote administrative procedure reform, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, public ethics, and attitude toward serving the people; pay attention to citizen reception, promptly resolve citizens' complaints and denunciations, and conduct grassroots mediation and dialogue with the people.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the QCDC at the provincial grassroots level - Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of the members of the steering committee, members of the working group assisting the provincial steering committee, and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee - the standing body of the steering committee, in performing well the assigned tasks.

In order to implement the Central's policy on restructuring the apparatus, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee issued Project No. 25-DA/TU, dated December 31, 2024, on the overall innovation and restructuring of the provincial and district-level apparatus; accordingly, the activities of the 4 steering committees of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will end from January 1, 2025; including the Steering Committee for implementing grassroots democracy in Quang Nam province, period 2021 - 2025. Regarding the task of implementing democracy at the grassroots level, it is recommended that agencies, units and localities, based on their functions and tasks, continue to effectively implement it in the coming time.
