According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, there are still many hospitals and public health facilities facing difficulties and not having a source of Tet bonuses for staff, civil servants and employees.
Three medical facilities that do not have resources to give Tet bonuses to employees include: Saigon General Hospital, Ben San Leprosy Treatment Area, and the Population Department.
As of January 22, the leaders of Le Van Viet Hospital, District 4 Hospital, have not yet finalized the Tet bonus for employees.
Medical staff at some public hospitals still have not received their Tet bonuses.
Besides, there are public hospitals that set modest Tet bonuses, from only a few hundred thousand to less than 5 million VND, such as Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, Nhan Ai Hospital, District 8 Hospital, Trung Vuong Hospital, District 6 Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Medical Examination Center, Binh Chanh District Hospital, Cu Chi District Hospital, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, hospitals must be financially autonomous while hospital fees have not been calculated correctly and fully. The labor force of medical staff may be equal, but the income level varies greatly due to the specialty of each hospital.
That is also one of the objective reasons explaining the difference in Tet bonuses and monthly additional income of hospitals.
The Department of Health recommends that hospitals study and propose policy mechanisms to help public hospitals become autonomous in a sustainable manner, which will always be a challenge for the city's health sector in the coming time.
