More than 12.7 billion VND has been contributed by Sacombank staff and union members to join hands with people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.
With the nation's fine tradition of mutual love and the mission of "Accompanying development", the Executive Board of the Sacombank grassroots trade union has mobilized union members and staff across the system to join hands to support people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.
In that spirit, more than 18,000 union members and employees of Sacombank voluntarily contributed at least 1 day's salary/person, with a total contribution of more than 12.7 billion VND.
The Executive Committee of the Sacombank grassroots trade union has transferred the above amount to the Fatherland Front Committees in localities and the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to support people in affected areas.

Previously, Sacombank coordinated with local authorities in Thai Nguyen and Lao Cai provinces to directly visit and present many gifts with a total value of 500 million VND to help people overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.

The bank also contributed 500 million VND to the program to support people in the Northern provinces launched by Tuoi Tre newspaper and directly joined Tuoi Tre to award "Preventing Dropouts" scholarships to students and teachers in severely flooded areas.
In addition, Sacombank has implemented many incentives for customers affected by storms and floods, such as a program to reduce interest rates by up to 2% per year for existing loans; loan capital of up to VND 10,000 billion, minimum interest rates from 4% - 5% for new loans; reduce service fees by up to 50% and waive early repayment fees for all loans.
Sacombank branches/transaction offices located in storm-hit areas have also reviewed, shared and accompanied customers, seeking solutions to restore production and business activities and stabilize life.
