On the evening of March 27, the Dedication Awards Ceremony 2024 took place in Hanoi with the participation of many athletes, artists, and fans. In the final results, Den Vau was the male artist honored twice in the categories: MV of the year and Male singer of the year.
This result is completely worthy of what the male rapper has contributed throughout his journey. His music not only demonstrates his talent and creativity but also inspires the audience and supports the community.
The moment his name was called for the second time in the Male Singer of the Year category, Den Vau collapsed before standing up and bowing deeply to express his thanks for the recognition of the Dedication Award Organizing Committee and the cheers of congratulations from the guests present at the ceremony.
Den Vau was moved to tears when he was honored as "Male Singer of the Year".
On stage, the male rapper emotionally expressed his gratitude when the Dedication Award Organizing Committee "opened their hearts" to the Rap music genre he pursues: "I still think Rap music is not accepted by many people, but I can't believe everyone has given me such a great honor, to stand here at the Dedication Award Ceremony, at the Opera House.
I believe that the shining Dedication star up there will always be a beam of light that helps artists shine and bring music to the public.
I am very grateful for the audience's affection, grateful for the openness and tolerance of the judging panel and the audience so that young artists, pursuing a "slightly strange" music genre like me, can shine and contribute. I promise to continue to try to serve the audience."
Immediately after receiving the award, the male rapper continued to express: " I wanted to give but ended up receiving more. I don't know why my life is so blessed. I feel indebted to those audiences, to the children in that village, to those collaborators. On the way out of the Opera House in the middle of the night, I tried to rummage through to see if I had anything left to gradually pay back."
Den Vau was emotional at the moment of receiving the award "Male Singer of the Year".
Den Vau admitted that he "had good luck" when he was continuously honored not only at the Dedication Award but also at many other programs and awards: "Since entering the arts, I have learned new lessons every day, with the places I have been, with the people I have met, and those lessons have helped me absolutely understand that I am not the best, even in the work I do best.
I'm not very humble, rap has its own arrogance, but luckily my eyes can still see the images of so much effort, my ears can still hear the sounds of so much labor out there to know how lucky I am.
I know that I am lucky. Without lucky times, a rapper can't dream of winning the Dedication Award! Luckily for me, I appeared in an era of open and tolerant music. Thank you for your love and respect."
Previously, Den Vau was also one of the 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces voted by the Central Youth Union. In 2023, he was also the only artist to receive the 2023 National Volunteer Award.
