Musician Nguyen Xuan Phuong was born on December 25, 1973, in Van Giang, Hung Yen. Having studied piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, in 1991, musician Xuan Phuong continued to study composition and graduated in 1998. He then continued to study for a master's degree in folklore research at the Institute of Folklore.
