(Dan Tri) - Accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the exhibition area and aircraft manufacturing infrastructure, the Chairman of Embraer Group shared that he wants to seek opportunities for cooperation and market expansion in Vietnam.

Immediately after arriving in Sao Paulo state, Brazil during his official visit to the country, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and worked with the Embraer aerospace corporation on the afternoon of September 23 local time (morning of September 24 Vietnam time).

Embraer Aerospace Corporation was founded in 1969 and is currently the third largest commercial aircraft manufacturer in the world, after Boeing and Airbus. This unit has strength in manufacturing aircraft under 130 seats.

In Vietnam, Embraer Group has delivered 5 E190 aircraft to Bamboo Airways.

Accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the display area of ​​Embraer's aircraft models and modern production infrastructure, Chairman and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto shared his appreciation for the potential of the Vietnamese market.

According to him, the Vietnamese aviation market is suitable for the group's available aircraft models, especially suitable for short flights and not too large number of passengers.

Embraer Group's leaders hope to receive support from the Vietnamese Government in the process of seeking cooperation opportunities and expanding the market in Vietnam.

At the same time, the Group is committed to being ready to deploy aircraft maintenance and repair services in Vietnam, as well as providing technological solutions in the aviation sector.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that air transport has many advantages to make aviation development a trend of the times, such as convenience, speed and increasingly reasonable prices.

According to the head of the Vietnamese Government, the domestic aviation industry has developed very rapidly in recent times, along with the speed of socio-economic development, the increase in tourism demand and trade and investment activities. Vietnam now has many operating airlines.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated Embraer's commercial aircraft products for their operational safety and environmental friendliness. He said that the Group's new generation of commercial aircraft could be a solution to help Vietnamese airlines develop their fleet while ensuring operational efficiency and flight safety.

Believing in the bright future of aviation trade between Vietnam and Brazil, the Prime Minister suggested that Embraer expand cooperation and investment to develop the group's business ecosystem in Vietnam.

In addition to continuing to contact and discuss with Vietnamese airlines to seek opportunities for cooperation, business and research to participate in providing aircraft maintenance and repair services, the Prime Minister suggested that the Group participate in training human resources in the aviation industry, providing short/long-term professional training courses for officials in the Vietnamese aviation industry.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, Embraer can support Vietnam with technological solutions to help improve management capacity in the aviation sector, increase automation, and support forecasting and risk prevention in flight management activities.
