The largest clean water plant in Quang Tri province was put into operation.

On June 23, Quang Tri Province Clean Water Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of Tan Luong Clean Water Plant (Dong Ha City).

According to Quang Tri Province Clean Water Joint Stock Company, in the summer, Quang Tri Province in general and Dong Ha City in particular often experience a shortage of clean water, affecting people's daily life and production.

From that reality, Quang Tri Clean Water Joint Stock Company has proactively proposed and reported to the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for investment policy on the project to renovate and upgrade Tan Luong water plant with a capacity scale from ^15,000m3 /day and night to ^28,500m3 /day and night to ensure safe water supply for the people, promptly meeting the clean water demand for the socio-economic development of Dong Ha City.

The project has a total investment of nearly 74 billion VND from the capital of Quang Tri Clean Water Joint Stock Company and commercial loans, started in August 2022, and has now been completed and put into operation.

The completed project has improved the quality of water supply services, solved the shortage of clean water for daily life in Dong Ha City and suburban areas for many years, helped people use high-quality, safe clean water, and at the same time completed the infrastructure, contributing to building Dong Ha City into a class 2 urban area before 2025.

Tan Luong clean water plant is expected to quench the thirst of many households in Dong Ha city in the summer.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien said that putting Tan Luong water plant with a capacity of ^28,500m3 /day and night into operation is just the first step in the journey to start a bright future for the health of the community, the people of the city and the whole province of Quang Tri, gradually realizing the project to provide clean water in Quang Tri province in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Mr. Le Duc Tien hopes that with the tasks assigned by the State to Quang Tri Clean Water Joint Stock Company (with 51% of the State's controlling shares), the company will collectively mobilize investment resources in accordance with the law to upgrade, renovate, and expand the scope of water supply of the water plants under its management. At the same time, research and invest in new water supply plants to complete the goals of spreading clean water to suburban and rural areas, better serving people's lives, contributing to completing the goals set out in the Clean Water Supply Project in Quang Tri province for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Quang Tri Clean Water Joint Stock Company is responsible for producing and supplying clean water in Quang Tri province. Currently, the Company is managing and operating 11 water supply plants with a total capacity of ^68,700m3 /day and night, supplying more than 70,000 customers in the whole province. In 2022, the company supplied 14.6 million ^m3 of commodity water, clean water revenue reached 121.7 billion VND; paid to the State budget 24.1 billion VND.
