On the afternoon of November 30, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that Chairman of the People's Committee Vo Van Hung had just signed a decision approving the results of selecting investors to implement Component Project 2 - Construction of an airport under the investment project to build Quang Tri Airport under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
Accordingly, the winning investor is the consortium of T&T Transport Infrastructure Investment and Development Company Limited and CIENCO4 Group Joint Stock Company.
The Quang Tri Airport Project was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 2148/QD-TTg dated December 20, 2021.
The project is implemented in Gio Quang, Gio Hai and Gio Mai communes (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province) with a total project implementation area of over 265.3 hectares.
The project investment scale includes two phases, with a total estimated investment of nearly VND5,823 billion. The project implementation period is 50 years. The operation and toll collection period for capital recovery is 47 years and 4 months.
In mid-August 2023, the project was approved by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the Feasibility Study Report of Component Project 2 - Construction of an Airport under the Quang Tri Airport Construction Investment Project, Quang Tri province under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
The project is built to meet the standards of a level 4C airport; capable of developing for code E aircraft; allowing the exploitation of irregular international flights according to the planning in Decision No. 648 of the Prime Minister (when needed) and a level II military airport meeting the exploitation needs of up to 5 million passengers/year and 25,500 tons of cargo/year.
T&T Transport Infrastructure Development Investment Company Limited is a member of T&T Group, headquartered at 2A Pham Su Manh Street, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The company was established on June 10, 2015, registered to operate in the field of road construction.
In April 2023, the enterprise had a charter capital of 500 billion VND and 1 month later (May 2023), this enterprise increased its charter capital to 1,200 billion VND.
Over the years, T&T Group has been known as a "familiar" investor in Quang Tri province when investing in many fields such as real estate, energy, and trade and services in this locality.
Including Gio Hai Service - Tourism Area (in Gio Linh district) with a total investment of more than 4,400 billion VND; Participating in the Hai Lang LNG Power Center project phase I (1,500 MW) with 2 other enterprises, Hanwha Energy Corporation (HEC) - Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) - South Korea Electric Power Corporation (KOSPO). The total investment capital of phase I of the project is up to nearly 54,000 billion VND (more than 2.3 billion USD).
Previously, in 2021, T&T Group Joint Stock Company also conducted a survey to research and invest in the project of Tourism - Service - Urban Complex and Golf Course in the area around Nghia Hy Lake (in Cam Thanh commune and Cam Lo town) with a proposed scale of 614 hectares.
Meanwhile, CIENCO4 Group Joint Stock Company (Cienco4) has its headquarters located on the 10th-11th floors, ICON4 building, 243A De La Thanh street, Lang Thuong ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi.
CIENCO4 was established on November 5, 2010, registered to operate mainly in the field of railway and road construction. To date, the company has a registered charter capital of VND 3,370.7 billion, more than VND 1,100 billion higher than in mid-2023. CIENCO4 is a giant in the transportation sector, especially with road projects.
The leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province requested departments, branches, localities and related units based on their functions and tasks to coordinate with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the winning investor to implement the project, ensuring compliance with regulations.
