Former Deputy Minister of Culture Mai Vy passed away

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received news that comrade Mai Vy (aka Bui Ngoc Xuyen), former Deputy Minister of Culture (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), passed away at 02:30 on August 30, 2024 (ie July 27, Giap Thin year), at the age of 103.

Comrade Mai Vy was born on February 17, 1922, his hometown is Tan Nhue village, Lac Dao commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province. He is a veteran revolutionary, 85 years of Party membership and has been honored to receive many noble medals and orders from the Party and State such as: First Class Resistance Medal, First Class Independence Medal.

Visitation from 11:00 to 12:30, Friday, September 6, 2024 (ie August 4, Giap Thin year). Memorial service at 12:30 on the same day.

Funeral location: At the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi . Cremation at Hoan Vu Crematorium, Van Dien Cemetery, Hanoi. Burial at 3:15 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 (ie August 7, Giap Thin year) at Lac Hong Vien Cemetery, Hoa Binh.

Pursuant to the provisions of Decree No. 105/2012/ND-CP dated December 17, 2012 of the Government on organizing funerals for cadres, civil servants and public employees, comrade Mai Vy (aka Bui Ngoc Xuyen) is given a funeral according to the High-level Funeral ceremony.
