Summary of the Project to Strengthen Management Capacity and Effective Enforcement of Laws on Protection of Copyright and Related Rights

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Report No. 94/BC-BVHTTDL dated March 28, 2025 on the implementation of Decision No. 88/QD-TTg dated January 20, 2017 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on Strengthening the capacity to effectively manage and enforce the law on copyright and related rights protection until 2020, with a vision to 2025 (the Project), Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has the following instructions:

Highly appreciate the efforts and responsibilities of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related agencies, organizations, and localities in implementing the Project and achieving positive results, especially in perfecting legal regulations, law management and enforcement, international cooperation, contributing to improving management capacity and effectively enforcing laws on copyright and related rights protection.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to take the lead in summarizing and evaluating the implementation of the Project during the 2017-2025 period, clarifying the results achieved, limitations, difficulties, obstacles, objective and subjective causes, lessons learned and recommendations, proposing specific tasks and solutions for the coming period; in which, it is important to clarify the development and implementation of tasks and projects related to the implementation of international treaties in the field of copyright and related rights that Vietnam has signed and participated in, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Intellectual Property; report to the Prime Minister in October 2025./.
