The 65th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long Distance Championship - 2024 (Tien Phong Marathon) as usual has the participation of Vietnam's top runners. Leo Thi Tinh, Le Thi Tuyet, Ngoc Hoa, Nguyen Thi Oanh, Pham Thi Hong Le, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Van Lai, Quy Phong... are the names confirmed to participate.
The organizers expect more new national records to appear at this year's tournament.

After successful tournaments in Ly Son Island - Quang Ngai (2020), Pleiku - Gia Lai (2021), Con Dao - Ba Ria Vung Tau (2022), Lai Chau (2023), this year, Tien Phong Marathon comes to Phu Yen - the land of yellow flowers on green grass.
Tien Phong Marathon will take place over 3 days, from March 29 to March 31 in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province. The tournament will have the participation of more than 11,000 athletes nationwide. After many years of separating the advanced and amateur divisions, this year's tournament has a major change in expertise when bringing excellent amateur athletes in the half-marathon and marathon to the starting line with advanced athletes, promising an exciting competition.
The competition distances include 21.1km - 42.195km for men and women, professional and amateur; 10km for men, youth, amateur; 5km for women, youth, amateur and professional.
Traditionally, in addition to competing in individual distances, athletes from provincial, municipal and industry teams also compete for team and group points.
Not only that, in addition to separate awards for the two categories, the organizers also built a final award structure for the 5 best runners, regardless of whether they are advanced or amateur athletes.
In addition to bringing amateur athletes to compete directly with advanced athletes, the organizers also changed the prize structure. Accordingly, the half marathon and marathon distances will receive prizes according to 5 age groups, an increase of 2 age groups compared to the previous tournament, including 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 years old.
