On the morning of November 3, a source from VietNamNet reporter said that the person who won the auction for car license plate 51K-888.88 is depositing money into the specialized collection account of the Ministry of Public Security .

According to this source, the auction winners had to pay in installments because they used personal accounts, so the daily transfer limit was limited.

"Specifically, the identity of the auction winner will be kept confidential by the auction organizer and the Traffic Police Department according to the law," said a source of VietNamNet reporter.

License plate auctions are closely monitored by the Traffic Police Department.

Previously, on the morning of October 21, Vietnam Joint Stock Auction Company put the car license plate 51K-888.88 up for auction again. There were 58 people registered to auction this license plate.

The auction of this license plate was breathlessly "compared" by the participants when in the first minute, the price of this license plate was pushed up to 1.505 billion VND, after 29 bids.

After 10 minutes, 40 people entered the auction room. Notably, the player with the code VPA-FI49WY bid 27 times, raising the value of the license plate to more than 6.710 billion VND. The auction participant with the code VPA-TE4RX7 also bid closely with 24 times, up to 6.725 billion VND.

Closing the auction at 9am the same day, this "super beautiful" car license plate was sold for 15,265 billion VND after more than 1,000 bids.

Major General Nguyen Van Trung - Director of the Traffic Police Department said that as of October 22, 3,254 license plates had been successfully auctioned. The total value of the assets was over VND538 billion. There were 2,432 winning auction plates whose payment procedures had been completed by the auctioneer with the amount of over VND298 billion.

"Thus, on average, each day the auction brings in about 23 billion VND for the State," Major General Nguyen Van Trung informed.
