With 26 years of experience in the electricity industry, Mr. Tran Quang Hanh - Deputy Head of the Ha Tinh High Voltage Grid Management and Operation Team has always been dedicated to his professional work. He is also a teacher of many generations of workers.
Having just returned from Hanoi as a judge of the A1 operation certification contest organized by the Northern Power System Dispatch Center, Mr. Tran Quang Hanh shared: "With my knowledge and practical experience, I am fortunate to be able to participate in scoring contests organized by Vietnam Electricity Group and the Northern Power Corporation. Each time I participate, I learn many things and gain more experience to do well in my management work as well as provide professional guidance to officers and employees in the Ha Tinh High Voltage Grid Management and Operation Team".
Mr. Hanh regularly lectures to the workforce of the Ha Tinh High Voltage Grid Management and Operation Team.
Mr. Tran Quang Hanh (born in 1964) is from Nam Dan district (Nghe An). Graduated from the Faculty of Electromechanics - Agricultural University 1 (Hanoi), in 1987, he worked at the Industry Department, People's Committee of Nghia Dan district (Nghe An) and then transferred to the Vocational Training Center of Nghia Dan district (Nghe An province). In 1997, he was recruited to work at Nghe An Electricity Company, through many positions.
In 2007, he was transferred to the Northern High Voltage Grid Company, holding the position of Deputy Director of the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe high voltage grid. It was here that he and his colleagues closely followed the grid, constantly researching and learning to gradually improve the quality of the 110 kV grid in the southern Thanh Hoa and northern Nghe An regions. Also during this time, Mr. Hanh was invited to teach to improve the skills of cadres and workers of the high voltage grid in many provinces, and was affectionately called "Mr. Hanh" by many generations of cadres and workers.
In 2011, he took up a job at the Ha Tinh High Voltage Power Grid Branch (now the Ha Tinh High Voltage Power Grid Management and Operation Team). He continued to take on the role of a diligent officer and also "hand-held" the team of workers to improve their capacity to manage and operate the power grid safely.
Mr. Hanh directly "holds hands to guide" and improve workers' skills.
Mr. Hanh shared: "Ha Tinh's 110 kV power grid was built in the 90s of the last century, after many years of operation, it has seriously degraded. Moreover, the power grid is spread over many types of terrain such as mountains, plains, midlands, coastal areas... so there are many grid failures. When I first started working at the Ha Tinh High Voltage Power Grid Branch, the whole province only had 5 110 kV transformer stations (Thach Linh, Can Loc, Linh Cam, Ky Anh and Vung Ang), the power grid was supplied from 1 source so the stability was not high. In the beginning, my colleagues and I stayed at the site for months to get familiar with the grid. Accordingly, I used my knowledge and experience with the unit to develop repair and troubleshooting plans, gradually improving the reliability of power supply in the area".
In addition to doing a good job in his professional work, Mr. Hanh directly teaches workers and officers knowledge about secondary circuits and related incidents; the operating principles of each device on the grid such as: circuit breakers, isolating knives... At the same time, he trains workers to be confident when dealing with equipment and have the skills to identify and handle incidents on the grid. The basic knowledge is conveyed by Mr. Hanh in a close and lively way through daily work, not theoretical or dogmatic, therefore, the skills of Ha Tinh high voltage grid workers are increasingly improved, increasing work efficiency.
Currently, the Ha Tinh 110 kV power grid has grown with over 254 km of 110 kV lines and 12 unmanned 110 kV transformer stations. As the Deputy Head of the Ha Tinh Power Grid Management and Operation Team, Mr. Hanh constantly learns and improves his management and operation methods. On the other hand, he continues to "become a teacher" to improve the theoretical and practical skills of his colleagues in the agency.
Mr. Hanh and his colleagues have researched and proposed many initiatives and technical improvements that have been effectively applied to practical work.
Ms. Duong Thi Kieu Oanh (born in 1993) - Staff of the Operation Team, belonging to the Ha Tinh High Voltage Grid Management and Operation Team shared: “In the past 8 years of working, I have always received support in terms of knowledge and experience from the Team leaders and Deputy Team Leader Tran Quang Hanh. Therefore, my skills have become more and more solid, completing the assigned tasks well. In particular, from November 11 to 15, I participated in the A1 Operation Certificate Competition organized by the Northern Power System Dispatch Center and was fortunate to receive additional training from Mr. Hanh in skills in assessing and predicting power grid incidents, how to handle situations... so I completed the exam quite well".
According to Mr. Ha Minh Dong - Team Leader of the Ha Tinh High Voltage Grid Management and Operation Team, as a manager, Comrade Hanh has been proactive and creative, working with the leadership to find solutions to improve the reliability of power supply and minimize 110kV grid incidents. In particular, he and his teammates have researched and proposed many initiatives and technical improvements that have been effectively applied to the practical work of the unit, such as: creating a 3U0 circuit from TUs without protective coils; manufacturing and installing a circuit to signal bells and lights when there is a ground fault on the neutral grid; converting the capacitor bank from 35 kV to 22 kV; manufacturing a periodic discharge cabinet for the battery bank... Comrade Hanh's example of self-study and creativity in work has inspired colleagues and is an example for cadres and workers to follow.
