Ha Tich workers actively participate in online competitions

Actively participating in online competitions has helped Ha Tinh union members and workers to be equipped with more legal knowledge, promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in union activities.

Online competitions implemented by trade unions at all levels attract the participation of a large number of union members and workers.

In practical welcome to the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched the contest "Workers, civil servants, and laborers learn about the historical traditions and patriotism of the Vietnamese people in building and defending the Fatherland" on a national scale.

After one month of implementation (from October 10 to November 11, 2023), the contest attracted more than 312,000 cadres, union members, and workers nationwide to participate. In Ha Tinh, the trade unions of all units actively participated and deployed to the grassroots level. Currently, with 12,253 contestants, Ha Tinh ranks 4th nationwide in terms of the number of participants and the number of questions answered correctly.

The contest “Sending trust, giving hope” launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is also being widely implemented by trade unions at all levels in Ha Tinh. This is a contest to learn about the congresses of the Vietnam Trade Union; create works about good models, good practices; achievements, and typical marks in the 2018-2023 term of the trade union organization.

Chairman of the Cam Xuyen District Labor Federation - Pham Viet Cong shared: "From the launch and detailed instructions of the superior union, up to now, nearly 100% of grassroots unions under the District Labor Federation have launched the contest "Sending trust, giving expectations". In order for the contest to spread and become a highlight of the political activities to welcome the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the units have also increased propaganda on Facebook and Zalo to all union members and workers".

In order to equip knowledge, raise awareness, responsibility for self-study, research and the spirit of respecting the law for workers, trade unions of agencies, units and enterprises have actively mobilized union members to participate in a number of online knowledge competitions such as: "Joining hands for traffic safety in 2023" (organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee), "Learning about the law on social insurance and health insurance" in 2023 (organized by Ha Tinh Provincial Social Insurance and the Department of Justice)...

Responding to the contest "Learning about social insurance and health insurance laws", the union officers of Haivina Hong Linh Company Limited provided information and detailed instructions on how to take the online exam for all workers. The company also connected the wifi network to departments to facilitate workers in submitting their exam papers. As a result, 100% of the company's workers and employees participated, of which 99% participated according to the rules.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - a worker at the company shared: "By participating in the contest, we have gained more knowledge about insurance laws. From there, we actively participate in social insurance and health insurance for ourselves, and at the same time, promote it to our relatives and friends to participate to protect their rights in life and in the future."

Preliminary statistics show that Ha Tinh is currently the top unit nationwide in the contest "Joining hands for traffic safety in 2023"; the contest "Learning about social insurance and health insurance laws" in 2023 attracted nearly 173,000 participants.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Ngo Dinh Van said: "Online competitions implemented throughout the province have contributed to equipping knowledge, improving understanding and awareness of the rule of law among civil servants and employees. With the online competition format, propaganda and dissemination work is carried out more easily and effectively. This competition format also contributes to enhancing the application of information technology, promoting digital transformation in the operation of trade union organizations".
