Yen Do Ward Police (Pleiku City, Gia Lai) has just returned nearly 108 million VND to Mr. Le Minh Khai because he mistakenly put it in the trunk of someone else's car.
According to initial information, at around 10:00 a.m. on October 14, Mr. Le Minh Khai (59 years old) went to Vietcombank branch on Hai Ba Trung street (Yen Do ward, Pleiku city) to withdraw nearly 108 million VND.
When going to the car to put it away, Mr. Khai mistakenly put the above amount of money into the trunk of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien's car (59 years old, residing in Yen Do ward).
At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, after opening the car to get her belongings, Ms. Hien was startled to discover a large amount of money in the trunk of her car, so she went to the police station to report and hand over all the money to find the owner.
Through verification, Yen Do Ward Police determined that the person who mistakenly left the above amount of money was Mr. Le Minh Khai, so they invited him to the headquarters to hand over.
Receiving the money he had mistakenly left on his motorbike, Mr. Khai was touched and said that after withdrawing nearly 108 million VND from the bank, he took the money to the parking area to put it away. At that time, he saw a motorbike with the trunk open like his, so Mr. Khai put the money in the trunk and closed it.
After putting the money away, Mr. Khai went back to the bank to do some business. When he came out, Mr. Khai drove his motorbike home without realizing that he had mistakenly put the money in someone else's trunk.
