Specifically, at around 7:50 p.m. on June 16, a murder occurred in Nam Lo village, Kan Ho commune, Muong Te district, Lai Chau province, resulting in one death. The victim was Ms. Cha Thi M., born in 1988, residing in Nam Lo village, Kan Ho commune, Muong Te district, Lai Chau province. The suspect was Mua A Sang, born in 1989, residing at the same address and was the victim's husband.
The victim died at the scene after multiple stab wounds.
After receiving the report from the people, the police force of Muong Te district coordinated with the police of Can Ho commune to deploy forces to surround and arrest the subject. At about 20:45 on the same day, the local authorities arrested Mua A Sang, when the subject was hiding in a local's hut.
At the time of discovery and arrest, the subject Mua A Sang had just used a knife to stab himself in the stomach with the intention of committing suicide. Immediately, the subject received first aid from the police force, was taken to the emergency room at Muong Te District Medical Center and is now in stable condition.
Initially, the suspect Mua A Sang confessed that he and his wife often had conflicts because he suspected that his wife had feelings for someone else. In early June, Ms. Cha Thi M. left to live with relatives in Dien Bien province.
After the subject called to apologize many times, on the morning of June 16, Ms. Cha Thi M. took a bus from Dien Bien to go home. However, at 7 p.m. the same day, the couple continued to argue. When she saw Ms. M. leave for a neighbor's house, Mua A Sang chased after her and used a knife he had brought from home to stab Ms. M. multiple times, leading to her death on the spot.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by local authorities.
