Regularly, on weekends, young people of Liep Tuyet commune gather at Khanh Xuan communal house to immerse themselves in each song under the guidance of excellent artist Nguyen Thi Lan, Head of Liep Tuyet commune’s Do singing club. According to artist Nguyen Thi Lan, the Do singing festival in Liep Tuyet had many interruptions, and was only restored in 1990. For a long time, few people here knew about the traditional Do singing tune, but with the enthusiasm of a native, love for cultural heritage and support from the local government, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan has gradually restored the Do singing tune. Up to now, the Do singing club in Liep Tuyet commune has 40 core members teaching Do singing to 700 people of all ages, including a large number of students from 11 to 18 years old. The club operates regularly throughout the year, but is most active in the summer when students in the commune are on summer vacation. The people who preserve the Do singing tune in the locality are all farmers, because of their love for the ancient singing tune of their hometown, they spare no effort to preserve and teach it... Thanks to that, Do singing is truly a bond that connects and enriches the spiritual life of the people. Not only is it a joy for the older generation of artists, Do singing also helps the young generation stay away from social evils, towards healthy and beneficial lifestyles... Teaching Do singing to students in the commune has become one of the summer activities with positive meaning, attracting many young people to participate. The government and people always remind each other to maintain, preserve and develop Do singing melodies as a valuable intangible heritage of the Doai countryside. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" continues to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over.
