Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot recalled the experience in an Instagram post last week, writing that she was diagnosed when she was eight months pregnant and that her fourth child was born before she had to undergo emergency surgery to treat it.
In February 2024, Gal Gadot said she was diagnosed with a "blood clot" after weeks of suffering "severe headaches that left me bedridden, until the final MRI scan revealed the horrifying truth."

"In a moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life is. It was a stark reminder of how quickly things can change. In the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted was to try and survive. I was rushed to the hospital, and within hours, I was in emergency surgery. My daughter, Ori, was born in that moment of uncertainty and fear," she wrote on Instagram.
Gadot added that her daughter's name means "my light." Before the surgery, she told her husband, "When our daughter is born, she will be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel."
The actress thanked the team of doctors who helped treat her at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, saying that thanks to them she "got through it all and is recovering."

The Hollywood star wrote that she wanted to share her story to encourage her followers to listen to their bodies and raise awareness about the importance of taking action.
"I constantly reflect on the miracle I have been given. My daughter, Ori, is a constant reminder of the resilience, hope, and strength we carry within us. My wish is that we all find our light, experience our own miracles, and continue to monitor our health and each other's," she continued.
Gal Gadot announced the birth of her daughter Ori in March 2024. Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano have Alma (13 years old), Maya (7 years old) and Daniella (3 years old). The couple has been married since 2008.
