According to many documents, An Co village is a coastal village that still preserves many cultural values, architectural values, and long-standing art. The village has a peaceful life and a tobacco growing profession. In particular, An Co communal house and Keo pagoda (Vu Thu district) are the first two relics of Thai Binh province to be ranked as national historical and cultural relics since 1962. An Co communal house is considered a precious gem in the architectural and cultural heritages of the Le - Mac period. This is the place to worship the Great King of the South Sea, impressing with elaborate and sophisticated carvings and a stone platform paved with shaved slate. An Co communal house is also considered one of the three oldest and largest communal houses in the coastal region of the North, along with Tra Co communal house (Quang Ninh) and Hang Kenh communal house (Hai Phong). The communal house was built in the Later Le period, around 1527, so it is considered by researchers to be a typical work of architecture and fine arts of the Later Le period.Ancient well right next to An Co communal house. In addition to An Co communal house, An Co village also preserves many ancient houses and an ancient well, which imprints the cultural features of the ancient village community. Perhaps anyone who sets foot in An Co village will feel the breath of a peaceful, nostalgic village with the image of "banyan tree, well, communal house yard" which has become a traditional symbol of the Northern countryside for hundreds of years.Brick walls, bamboo hedges, haystacks - Images that are both familiar and distant.
