Iran's Foreign Ministry released images of the two officials holding talks during Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to the Omani capital.
This is the latest trip in Mr. Araghchi's diplomatic itinerary in the region, after Israel announced retaliation for Iran's missile attack on the Jewish State on October 1.
On October 1, Tehran launched 200 missiles at Israel, saying it was in response to Tel Aviv's killing of regional pro-Iranian rebel leaders and generals of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Israel then pledged to retaliate.
The Houthi movement in Yemen, along with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah, are part of Iran's "axis of resistance" of armed groups fighting Israel.
Mr Araghchi's visit to Muscat comes after a trip to Baghdad.
Earlier, Mr. Araghchi visited Qatar and Saudi Arabia, discussing establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, as well as finding ways to contain the conflict from spreading throughout the region.
Besides, Mr. Araghchi emphasized on October 13 that Iran is "completely ready for war... but we only want peace".
