Nam Định's Hendrio scored, helping Nam Định draw 1-1 against Hà Tĩnh in Round 10 of the V-League 2023 this afternoon.
Thousands of fans flocked to Thien Truong Stadium to cheer on Nam Dinh FC despite the match taking place on a weekday under the hot sun. However, this strong moral support was not enough to help Coach Vu Hong Viet's team improve. Throughout the first half, despite having 57% possession, they only managed one shot, which was not dangerous enough to trouble goalkeeper Duong Quang Tuan.

Ha Tinh had less possession but more shots on goal with 4 attempts. One of them nearly resulted in a goal for the visiting team. Nguyen Trung Hoc controlled the ball neatly with his chest and then took a close-range shot, but the ball went straight to goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh, who had positioned himself well.
Nam Dinh's attacking creativity further diminished when midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc suffered an injury and had to leave the field in the 43rd minute. Coach Vu Hong Viet brought in foreign player Vinicius to partner Nnamani in attack. While this foreign duo possessed superior physique, their speed was slow, their technique lacked skill, and they were almost invisible against Ha Tinh's defense.
While the attack was struggling, Nam Dinh's defense made another mistake. In the 55th minute, after being beaten by Bui Van Duc, Hoang Xuan Tan kicked an opponent in the leg inside the penalty area, and referee Ngo Duy Lan immediately awarded a penalty. From the penalty spot, Trung Hoc deceived goalkeeper Nguyen Manh, shooting straight into the middle of the goal to open the scoring.

Among Nam Dinh's foreign players, Hendrio was the only one who performed well. He both dropped back to replace Khac Ngoc in organizing attacks and pushed forward to create scoring opportunities. And, as in many previous matches, the former Binh Dinh player was the hero, rescuing Nam Dinh. In the 76th minute, after a corner kick from Ngo Hoang Thinh, Vinicius missed his shot, and Hendrio was in the right place at the right time to score the equalizer, making it 1-1.
After 10 rounds, Nam Dinh has 15 points, ranking 5th. This result has not satisfied the fans in Nam Dinh, because before the 2023 season, the team spent a lot of money on a series of high-profile transfers with goalkeeper Nguyen Manh, center-backs Nguyen Huu Tuan and Hoang Van Khanh, full-back Nguyen Phong Hong Duy, midfielder Khac Ngoc, and foreign player Hendrio.
