This is the 5th year that doctors and nurses at Cho Ray Hospital have personally designed and decorated the spring flower street. This is a gift for patients and their relatives to create a Tet atmosphere, ease loneliness during the days away from home, especially for patients who have to stay in the hospital for treatment and celebrate Tet.
The more than 200m stretch of road inside the hospital from Nguyen Chi Thanh gate to Thuan Kieu street is filled with large and small miniature landscapes with apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, marigolds, sunflowers, thatched roofs, banh chung, etc. Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, said that the flower road has a total of 56 miniature landscapes made by medical staff from 76 units.
A charity stall with "old clothes for others, new clothes for us" was first organized on the flower street. Patients can choose any suitable clothes without paying.
Social Work Department staff organized a service to rent Tet Ao Dai and take photos for free. Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, shared that the spring flower street is a warm gift to help patients and their relatives ease their homesickness, hoping to bring a little warmth and sharing with people during the Lunar New Year.
The flower street is a project of 79 departments and hospital rooms participating, creating 30 miniature landscapes, including 18 combined clusters and 12 individual clusters. The types of unique and diverse decorations include miniature landscapes of peaceful village doors, pots of banh chung, banh tet, blooming Tet flowers next to the majestic and impressive miniature dragon model.
A group of staff from the Department of Arrhythmia Treatment took a photo in front of a miniature scene that their department had jointly created. This miniature scene was a result of the collaboration of many departments of the Internal Medicine Cardiology Center, following this year's Spring theme.
Ms. Duong Thi Qui (Dong Thap) said that because her house is far away, she went to the hospital at 3am. This was the first time she felt a different atmosphere right inside the hospital. "Every time I go to the hospital for a check-up, I am very scared, but today, when I came here and saw everyone joining in the joyful atmosphere of Tet, I felt much warmer," Ms. Qui added.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang (63 years old) said: "Unlike the usual busy atmosphere or hurried gait in the hospital, the spring atmosphere these days helps everyone feel more optimistic and happy. I also feel happy."
Like previous years, the flower street has calligraphers giving out calligraphy and free photography services for patients next to miniature landscapes.
Many people gathered in the stage area to watch the performances of artists: Viet Huong, Quyen Linh, Ly Hung, Ngoc Son...
