Artist Nha Thy (photo) has full name Tran Ngoc Nha Thi, hometown Tien Giang , no one in the family is in the arts. After finishing grade 12, Nha Thy went to Ho Chi Minh City to take the drama and film actor exam at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. When it came to the talent test, Thy sang a few lines of the traditional song Hoa mua trang . After listening, the teacher instructed her to go straight to the Department of Traditional Drama, and that was how she fell in love with Cai Luong.
However, after only finishing her second year, Nha Thy had to drop out of school for some personal reasons. During this time, the little girl went to find a job and struggled to take care of her own life in the city.
In 2011, her stage talent was ignited again when Thy participated in the Golden Bell of Traditional Opera contest of Ho Chi Minh City Television, entering the top 9 finalists. From this contest, Nha Thy learned many necessary singing techniques to supplement her solid professional knowledge.
Also from the fresh motivation that the contest gave, the little girl firmly believed in participating in professional artistic activities at Tran Huu Trang Opera House, learning and practicing more with teachers and colleagues, gradually striving to affirm her talent and effectively promote her career.
Sharing about the artistic path she is pursuing, Nha Thy could not hide her feelings: “I know that I have a low starting point, so I always force myself to try harder, try to learn, and be willing to take on small roles to have more opportunities to practice my profession. My cai luong teacher once said that in the profession, people try twice or three times harder, so I have to try 10 times harder to be where I am today.”
Through the roles of Nguyen Thi Anh in the excerpt Tears of the Concubine, Huyen Thu in Portrait of the Pioneer , Ut Thanh in The Lonely Tree , Bui Thi Xuan in the play Female General Bui Thi Xuan , Quynh Nga in the classic cai luong play Ben Cau Det Lua ... Nha Thy is increasingly receiving the love of the audience.
Living enthusiastically and working with all her heart, the female artist promotes her spirit of learning, thorough training and dedication to the art of reformed theater with her versatility and diversity in acting, leaving an impression on reformed theater fans with many multi-personality roles.
Thanks to her bright face, sweet voice, and versatility in creativity, she can perfectly transform from sweet to martial, evil, flirtatious, and humorous roles on stage, creating a very unique appeal.
With a serious and careful perspective on her career, the path she has taken and her achievements are a great motivation for the female artist to continue to strive in her career, stick with the stage, and develop her talent.
