On November 10, at border marker 591, Huong Lap Border Post (Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri), Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard coordinated with Border Guard Company 321, Savannakhet Provincial Military Command (Laos) to organize an exchange, share experiences and give gifts to people in the border area.

At the program, the functional forces of the two countries exchanged some contents on coordinating border protection management and reviewed the good traditions of Vietnam and Laos.
In addition to the armed forces, the program also had the participation of teachers and students of Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School (Huong Hoa District) to exchange culture and arts, and exchange teaching experiences with teachers at La Co Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Se Pon District, Savannakhet).
Speaking at the exchange, Mr. Bunlom Suphammixay, Deputy Secretary of the Se Pon District Party Committee, said that this is an activity to build special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, between Quang Tri - Savannakhet, and between Huong Hoa - Se Pon.

On this occasion, Huong Lap Border Guard Station also presented 300 blankets, 383 life jackets, 200 pairs of sandals, 800 kg of rice, 150 bottles of fish sauce, 50 kg of sugar (total value of over 120 million VND) to Border Guard Company 321, teachers and students of Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School, La Co Ethnic Boarding Secondary School and disadvantaged households in the area.

According to Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard, this meaningful action will help the border protection force and the people of Huong Viet Commune and La Co Hamlet become increasingly united and cohesive. At the same time, they will continue to actively participate in mass movements to protect national security, self-manage border lines and landmarks; maintain security and order in villages and hamlets, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety and economic development.
